Sample cylinder thermal jacket for personal thermal protection and insulation purposes.
The thermal (insulation) jacket design concerns a removable jacket which covers a spun sample cylinder. The cylinder jackets significantly reduced the risk of loosing heat or cold on applications with temperature controlled samples. To protect personal who are taking lab samples from very hot (steam) or very cold (LNG) process lines, the cylinder thermal jacketed cover prevent touches the hot or extreme cold surface wall of the sample cylinder.
The sample cylinder thermal jacketed design is also for prevent that the sample will cooling down or heating up when the sample cylinder is transported to the laboratory. This cylinder thermal jacket can be used on the manual sample stations in the field and on laboratory scale for preventing thermal changes of the process samples for analysis.
The jacket therefore prevent direct contact between the heat exchanging wall of the sample cylinder. The jacketed design does not restrict access to the top-and bottom entry ports of the sample cylinder.

The thermal jackets prevent heat burning injuries and will be used as personal protection if you take samples from very hot or extreme cold pipelines.
The thermal jackets needed to provide a tight fit so as to properly insulate the sample cylinder. The thermal jackets are hand cut and stitched from a grey silicone coated glass cloth, encapsulating a ductwrap glass wool blanket filler as standard. Each thermal jacket incorporated velcro tabs so they could be wrapped and fixed around the pipework. The sample cylinder jackets also included drawstring cord so the openings could be pulled tight around the sample cylinder.
Because of the easy installation with the velcro tabs, this cylinder jacket can be used in the plant area and laboratory for heating or cooling stabilization applications.
